The D-backs activated Sunday J.J. Hoover of the list of injured and sent to the same to the Panamanian right Randall Delgado.
Hoover had been on the disabled list since June 23 because of an inflammation in his right shoulder. The right-hander made a rehab start in the Arizona League and another by Class-A Kane County.
Prior to his injury, Hoover was 1-0 with 4.18 from EFE in 31 games.
Delgado was the defeated pitcher on Saturday in the Braves’ duel, after yielding four runs in two-thirds.
Delgado suffers from an inflammation in his right elbow.
