Tanner Roark will be in charge of opening for the capital, while Taijuan Walker will do it for the desert.

Roark comes off the Rockies, allowed two runs in five innings and has not lost so far this season. For his part, Walker last Thursday had its best opening of the year by completing eight innings with 11 strikeouts and allowing only two touchdowns against San Diego.
Both teams start May in good shape. The Nationals won 17 of their 25 games in the first month of the season and are leaders of their division, while Arizona has a record of 16 and 11 and is just half a game from Colorado at the western end of the National League.
